Wet Tech Rigging have been long time supporters of the ASBA, but marine rigging is not their only area of expertise.

Terrain Tech Rigging services the off-road market, using quality marine-grade materials to create robust and customisable vehicle recovery solutions including equaliser bridles, soft connectors, winch lines and kinetic recovery lines – all made in house to order, right here in Oz.

Many ASBA members own 4x4’s for towing their toys around, but with the current global situation sailing is sadly off the menu. However, there is no better way to distance yourself than to get into the great outdoors, and if any of our followers are looking for quality locally-produced recovery gear, get in contact with Drew for friendly advice and obligation-free pricing:

ASBA members and supporters as you are aware the covid 19 virus has cancelled alot of activities on and off the water. Cancelled racing that has directly affected us is Sail Port Stephens and the NSW state titles, Sports boats Saturdays at RQYS and also the annual Bay to Bay. At this time the ASBA committee has to stand by and wait for the virus to pass and events to start back up again. But when this happens we will plan and organise regattas with the support of the members as soon as possible. Be ready to finish 2020 with a bang. In the mean time Airlie Beach Race Week is still going ahead to my best knowledge and we are still taking bookings for berthing. We will do our best to keep you all updated as best as we can.
Thanks for your understanding. ASBA Committee.

We love sailing.
It is one of the best things in our lives.

When our lives are in upheaval,
we need the things we love
even more.

Until further notice, we are going to post joyful photos of the sport we love. If you’ve got a special one, send it and we’ll post it too.

Guys this means NSW state titles are called off also. The Asba committee will have a chat about what this means for us and we will keep you all informed via Facebook. We deeply regret to advise that Sail Port Stephens is now officially CANCELLED for April 2020 in line with tighter restrictions imposed this week by NSW Health authorities, and following extensive consultation with sponsors and stakeholders.
Ultimately the health of competitors and the community was paramount in these unpredictable and unprecedented circumstances. We trust this early announcement will assist those requiring re-booking or reimbursement on their accommodation and berthing. Please contact your providers.
While this position will be reviewed if regulations change, please note that dates for 2021 are 19-25 APRIL.
We thank our sponsors, suppliers and competitors for their loyal support and look forward to welcoming you back to Nelson Bay in 2021.
